Mesh WiFi that just works

Apple should re-launch the AirPort. Only it should be a package system for Mesh WiFi that just works.

It also needs to make joining WiFi (especially Mesh networks easier). Imagine tapping your device to a WiFi hub and it automatically figuring out which network to join. If it was a true Mesh solution, you could even have little “Join Here” devices around the system.

Now how do you allow access to a locked system? Ping an admin. Look for an app that says they should have access. Imagine if Apple launched a Mesh system that worked in hotels. Access points all over, but in the lobby there are a bunch of tap here to access WiFi buttons. If Apple exposed a new authorization API it could tap into apps like Marriott’s Bonvoy and use the app to authorize your usage of their WiFi.
