There is a better way (to build a SaaS)

--

A few years back I wrote a post called:

I barely scratched the surface

The truth is I barely scratched the surface of the tools companies need to build a successful saas.

For the most part, it is still true that no-code solutions are primarily aimed at building internal tools vs an actual saas platform.

And it’s pretty obvious why.

To build a successful saas you need a lot.

To build a decent saas application you will need to build, integrate, or use separate solutions for:

  • admin portal
  • audit trails
  • member management
  • subscription management
  • authentication
  • apis
  • integrations
  • website
  • landing pages
  • blogging
  • crm
  • workflows or bpm
  • affiliate &/or referral management
  • demo-ing
  • accessibility
  • internationalization
  • GDPR compliance
  • helpdesk
  • customer chat
  • sales/marketing chat
  • knowledge base
  • onboarding
  • forum software
  • social media integration
  • SSO
  • transactional emails
  • newsletter emails
  • feature flags
  • customer requests
  • public roadmap
  • and the list goes on

Enter Alexandro Martinez & saasrock.com

I met Alexandro a few months ago on twitter when he was just beginning to work with remix.run. He was building an admin solution for saas companies. We ended up dialoguing a bit about the pain points above.

He immediately dug-in with an insane drive and in the last two months built and pre-launched saasrock.com.

There is pent up demand for this.
